What are Boolean Operators?
Boolean Operator is the term used to refer to the words "AND" "OR" "NOT"
You use these words to search databases and they tell the database how you want it to search for your terms.
You will see these operators in the Advanced Search screen of many databases. It is helpful to search by identifying your key terms and connecting them with an operator(s). This is because many databases cannot accurately interpret a complete sentence or question.
This page has information on how to search using Boolean Operators.
