What is Google Scholar?
Google Scholar is an internet search engine that will allow you to search for scholarly articles. Only those articles that are freely available on the internet can be viewed in full-text in Google Scholar. Since most scholarly articles are not freely available on the internet, you should search the library databases for greater access to full-text articles.
If you are logged in to Google Scholar while on campus or through the List of Databases tab on the library home page, you will be able to link directly to articles in our library databases that appear in Google Scholar. Full-text access to these articles provided by the library databases, not Google Scholar, which is why full-text articles appear when you are searching Google Scholar on campus or through our proxy server (off campus login).
